Located in the National Gallery Singapore Auvergne-born Chef Julien Royer created Odette in 2015 and within four years the Restaurant had earned three stars from Michelin, later accolades including Asia's Best Restaurant at W50B soon to follow for Food that is simultaneously luxurious yet personal. Named in honor of Royer's grandmother, the matriarch of a farming family who instilled in the Chef a passion for Produce and foraging, it is upon entry to the space that guests will notice a gleaming kitchen fronted by an intimate room beneath a mobile referencing Meats, Fruits and Vegetables. Now one of three local Restaurants boasting Michelin's highest honor, the walk through art installations befitting small bites that are as beautiful as they are delicious, it is after a Cheese-filled Doughnut that a duet of Mushrooms flood the palate alongside Odette's story. French with Asian inspiration, a wide-reaching and well-priced Wine List offering many opportunities to compliment a 7-course menu flanked by gifts, Bread is followed by a "cloud" of Mussels atop plump Shrimp with Urchin and Caviar followed by Crab beneath a Pear veil perfumed by Herbs. Served by graceful and educated staff, a smoked Egg atop curls of smoke the alternate to Langoustine and Leeks buried by Perigord Truffles, Royer's Soup course found Foie Gras adjacent Abalone in umami-rich Broth brightened by Yuzu. Turning to Turbot for Fish, iridescence suggesting low and slow cooking to maximize flavor, Royer's famous Pigeon lives up to signature status thanks to a robust Pepper Crust before the palate is cleansed by Shiso Ice Cream with just a touch of added sweetness. Turning to W50B Asia's Best Pastry Chef 2023 Louisa Lim for Dessert, a small Citrus Tart impactful in its bitterness before dissipating smoothly, dinner ends with Mignardises including a top-notch Canele plus a copy of the menu and Jam for the next day.

100/10. Best meal I've ever had and well worth the hype and Michelin stars. Went for my birthday and they made the day special. Come with an empty stomach as this is not a fine dining experience where you'll leave still hungry. Every course was an experience and a story -- watching them cook and serve through their fishbowl kitchen was such a vibe.

Incredible experience at Odette and they are absolutely worthy of the 3 Michelin Stars they have. I would definitely go back when I'm in Singapore.

I came to Odette on a Monday night for dinner during my vacation for a personal celebration. I got the regular 7 course tasting menu and my mom got the vegetarian 7 course menu. Really don't know how/why anyone could possibly give any less than 5 stars for Odette. Honestly this place is just exceptional, everything from the food to the service to the ambiance is so meticulously crafted and executed that it's downright dizzying. Dishes come out one at a time of course since it's a tasting menu but they had some little pre-course appetizers and palate cleansers in between. Between those and the seven course menu, it is PLENTY of food. The presentation is stunning, every dish gets an explanation by either the chef himself, the manager, or the servers bringing it. My favorite of the savory dishes was the Rosemary egg (or maybe the pigeon?) and my favorite of the desserts was a tie between the blanc (which is actually the vegetarian menu dessert) and the final petite fours which was like a floral/sweet little tartlette with pink flowers on it. SO cute and very flavorful! But every dish is an experience, I took pics of everything and can confirm there was something memorable about each one. As for the ambiance - it's low light and quieter inside. Very modern/minimalist aesthetic, but it's warm and inviting. Think candlelit just-got-engaged romance-y type vibe. Big fan As for location - it's inside the Supreme Court building; right when you enter on St. Andrew's st, it's just on the right. Don't be surprised by the lack of a door handle, it's just a push door (I thought it was the back entrance by accident given no door handle). At the very end of dinner in addition to the add ons, they handed us a little thank you gift of homemade jam inside the cutest little magnetic box, along with small versions of the menu we ate. It was really such a warm welcome and farewell! This is just what I was hoping for given the price but rest assured you do get that three star Michelin experience when you dine here, regardless of what you have. Special shout out to David (the general manager) for his kindness and willingness to talk with us and answer our questions about the history of the restaurant! :)

Top 5 meals of all time! The Odette staff was visiting Los Gatos in California and I got a chance to partake and what an experience it was! Well, number 24 on the list of world's best restaurants and they have been even higher and of course the 3 Michelin stars. Who am I to disagree?? Leslie the somm was super knowledgeable, charming and funny... Luisa the pastry chef...the best pastry Chef in Asia is a magician...and Xiong the chef were all amazing. They made the evening a delight in terms of the food, service, and overall experience. Every dish we ate was the "The best ____". The best chicken...the best cod... the best fried chicken...the best chicken and rice and the list goes on...

Update: I received a call from Minali, one of the managers, that a patron has canceled their reservation, and I was able to have dinner here after all with my lovely wife. It was an incredible experience. Every person here was warm, eager to impress, and willing to engage in conversation. Each and every carefully curated dish has a story, elevating our culinary adventure in a way that is unforgettable. We loved the earthy mushroom tea, the sweetly fresh Hokkaido Uni, which was augmented by a generous portion of caviar, the delicate sauce that went with the scallop crudo, the soup with tender abalone and melt-in- your-mouth foie gras, and especially the main signature dish--a medium rare Kampot Pepper Crusted Pigeon. I mentioned earlier that each dish has a story. During our experience, the servers shared the story of the restaurant itself, including where it got its name. I'm impressed with their holistic approach to seemingly everything. Now we have our own story to share about our epic culinary adventure for years to come. Thank you, everyone.

As of this review they are ranked #14 in the world, #1 in Asia, and of course are Michelin 3*. All for very, very good reason. The food is art, the wine pairing is essential and highly additive to the experience, and they exude modern class, down to the widely spaced tables, bright yet soft light, glass doors framing the kitchen, and chairs perfectly comfortable for a nearly four hour meal. Can't forget the cheese cart either, which was presented with skill and drew raves. As exquisite as the whole experience is, the wrinkle, of course, is that it absolutely should be for the price. Even if you are used to fine dining and wine pairings, it is very clear here they know that you are willing to pay for the experience. For the price paid here you could absolutely have two meals at some of their other Michelin-starred brethren, and that is enough to give me pause for a higher rating.

12/2/2023 Dec 2 Sat. Lunch ~3 hours Menu - Choice of - Terre & Mer 5 Acts @ SGD328 (~$248 usd) Or - Epicure 7 Acts @ SGD498 (~$377 usd) Plus Service Fee and Tax Supplement Course x 1: Langoustine ravioli with white truffle @ SGD158 (~$120 usd) Pot of tea for two @ SGD12 (~$9 usd) 3 Star Michelin 6 in Asia's 50 Best 14 in World's 50 Best After I decided to make a trip out to Singapore, it took me some time to narrow down Odette to be my first fine dining in Asia. I have had eaten at star restaurants in Asia before but this was my first true fine dining experience in Asia. Odette is located within The National Gallery, a short distance by taxi from the bustling Orchard Road. It is advisable to catch a taxi if you dressed up for the occasion so not to sweat yourself out in the hot and humid weather in Singapore. As soon as we approached the front door of the restaurant, the maitre d' opened the double door and welcome us in. Inside was spacious and tables spaced reasonably apart. We were lead to one of the two best tables in front of the semi-open kitchen, signifying a great meal ahead. We were given a regular menu to choose from the 5 or 7 course meal plus couple other supplementary courses. Regrettably I forgot to take pictures of it. We ended up with the 7 course meal plus one supplement course of a langoustine ravioli with white truffle to share. As the menu is seasonal I am not going to elaborate on the dishes. Just know that every single dish was of quality and prepared delicately to perfection, sparing no details and offering high end ingredients. Beautifully presented and visually stunning enhancing and elevating one's dining experience. Worth every penny, not to be missed if you are financially manageable. Menu: Epicure 7 Acts @ SGD498 (~$377 usd): 0) Grignotages 1) MARUKYO UNI Red Sicilian prawn | Mussel cloud | Dauricus caviar 2) NAGASAKI KANPACHI Buttermilk | Rice & seaweed cracker I Dill 3) ROSEMARY SMOKED ORGANIC EGG Smoked potato syphon | Chorizo Iberico | Meunière (Supplement) ALBA WHITE TRUFFLE Langoustine | Leek fondue / Vin jaune 4) JEJU ABALONE & FOIE GRAS DUO Shiltake I Pork broth / Yuzu 5) HOKKAIDO STEAMED KINKI Watercress | Morrisseau mussel | Pink Garlic velouté 6) KAMPOT PEPPER CRUSTED PIGEON Solies figs / Black garlic | Pickled onion (Supplement) Tea 7) "BLANC' Saké | Vanilla | Hokkaldo milk 8) Douceurs

It's a 3 star Michelin restaurant so You know it's damn good. It was so Simply fantastic. It is located in the National Gallery so it wasn't the easiest to find. The service was impeccable, the food sublime and the ambience was elegant. Was is it expensive? hell yeah but we'll worth every penny and I was actually full by the end . They had some small batch sake which was fabulous. All the fish and uni was from Japan and most of the meats were from France . Went for my birthday while in Singapore for Formula 1. Try to make it here.

My boyfriend and I were excited to get the chance to experience Odette after seeing that it was ranked best restaurant in Asia and the fantastic reviews. We booked dinner reservations for our last trip to Singapore about a month in advance and chose the non-vegetarian tasting menu when we arrived. The location is beautiful and in the National Gallery Singapore which makes it a great place to check off our bucket list of Singapore. Everything from the service to the food to the ambiance was great! Most of the dishes felt balanced and I particularly liked the Rosemary Smoked Egg, Mushroom Tea, and Kinki fish course. What I didn't like was the Smoked Pigeon which was too gamey and strong for me (I saw a few tables substitute this for a version of Hainanese Chicken which we probably should have done as well) and the dessert course which consisted of little treats which were just ok and a tad too sweet overall.
